"Veg" was a strip that ran in Quackers, starring a group of shapeshifting, time-travelling aliens who wound up on Earth and took the forms of vegetables to blend in. The main characters were the Captain (a carrot), the Ensign (a tomato), the Corporal (a leek), a mushroom and a piece of broccoli. The strip was credited simply to "Dee & Bob".
A continuity strip, "Veg" ended on a cliffhanger that was never resolved: the strip in the final issue of Quackers concluded with the characters lost at sea and in the grip of an octopus.
