Jungle Jinks

Mabel Frances Taylor was born in Kingswood, Surrey, in the first quarter of 1866, the daughter of Samuel Bernard Taylor, an Anglican clergyman, and his wife Frances, née Buckland. She was working as an illustrator by 1891. Her credits in comics include "The Little Sparrowkins" in Playbox (1905), and "Dr. Lion's Boys" in Happy Families (1938), Jungle Jinks and the magazine Home Chat (1940s). She also illustrated children's books. She died in the third quarter of 1947 in Surrey. Her elder sister Edith was also an illustrator.
