Julius Stafford Baker (b. Rochford, Essex, 23 March 1904; d. Camden, London, July 1988), who signed his work B.S.B., was the son of Julius Stafford Baker senior, the creator of Tiger Tim. He was born in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, and drew in a very similar style to his father, and worked on many of the same comics, including Tiny Tots, Sunbeam, Rainbow and others, in the 1920s and '30s, except for a break following the death of his wife in 1936. He was also a fine artist, having exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer shows every year from 1935 onwards.

He was a Squadron Leader and Intelligence Officer in the RAF during the Second World War, and painted hundreds of watercolours, many of them showing the destruction of mechanised warfare, which are now held in the Imperial War Museum, the British Museum and the V&A. After the war he turned to printmaking. A retrospective of his work was held in London in 1989.
