Franco Bignotti was born in Brescia, Italy, on 8 November 1929. He worked in advertising and illustrated children's books before turning to comics in the early 50s. He drew several issues of Cowboy Comics Library, including adventures of Buck Jones and the Kansas Kid, and Thriller Picture Library, including adventures of Dick Daring of the Mounties, for the Amalgamated Press in the late 50s. He continued to draw comics in Italy into the 70s, and died in Milan on 17 February 1991.
