"Whacko!" was a strip that ran in The Dandy from 1971 to 1973, drawn by Ron Spencer. The series was reprinted during the early 1980's.
The strip was essentially a medieval version of The Bash Street Kids. The title character was a schoolteacher whose class was so rambunctious that he had to wear a full suit of armour.
The strip was revived for the 1990 Dandy Annual, in which it was drawn by Bob Dewar.[1] A "Whacko!" strip by Alexander Matthews later appeared in the final print issue of the Dandy.
