"Laser Eraser" is a strip that made its debut in the first issue of Jackpot in 1979. It was first drawn by Robert Nixon and later by Rob Lee.[1]
The main character was a boy named Ernie who had a rod-shaped device that could make things disappear and reappear. The original explanation for this was that the rod was dropped by an alien named Splod, and that its targets weren't erased fom existence but teleported to Splod's ship - leading to inconvenient situations fo the aliens. This element of the strip was later dropped.
There was also a rather different strip called "Laser Eraser and Pressbutton", a science fiction strip about a pair of assassins, in Warrior in 1982.
