Hoot

Hoot was a weekly comic published by DC Thomson from 1985 to 1986. Its masthead actually read It's a Hoot, but nobody refers to it as such.

Its cover star was Cuddles, a character from the recently-deceased Nutty (which is a bit odd, since Nutty had previously merged into The Dandy, taking "Bananaman" with it).

Amongst Hoot's offerings were three-to-four-panel gag strips featuring character from other DC Thomson comics.

Hoot eventually merged into The Dandy.
