"Here is the News" is a strip that ran in Wow!. It revolved around a spoof newscast providing unlikely stories: "Ping-pong champ, Des Dingle, had a slight accident last night when he tried to jump over the net after a table-tennis match", "the Duke of Gumpford claimed today that he likes to take a nap in the chandelier... because he's a light sleeper!"
The fansite Bustercomic.co.uk has hailed "Here is the News" as Wow's most promising strip.[1]
