Come on, Steve! (sometimes Come on Steve; the punctuation was not always consistent) is a comic strip by Roland Davies, starring a carthorse called Steve and his wordless exploits, which made its debut in 1932. It ran in the Sunday Express before moving to the Sunday Dispach. A few Come on, Steve! annuals were published.
With the aid of Carl Giles, at the time working as an animator, Davies directed a series of six animated Come on, Steve! shorts between 1936 and 1937. Steve also appeared in a shorter cartoon of unknown release date which may have been a pilot made before the other six.
