Bear Thrills is a strip from The Dandy, drawn by Phil Corbett. The comic strip debuted in Issue 3515 dubbed as "The Dandy Monster Christmas Special" where it had a one-off two page story to introduce the characters and background information.
Bear Thrills' name and personality is a spoof on TV survivalist, Bear Grylls. In the comic, Bear likes to take things to the extreme and usually ends up hurting himself or getting the scouts into trouble. Despite Bear's apparent fearlessness - Bear is actually very cowardly.
The comic strip lasted ten weeks in The Dandy - by which time, the comic strip had resorted to just using puns. Bear Thrills has not returned since.
